Secure Work Environments
This program provides the tools to create a more secure work environment and safer employee work practices. Often utilized as a team-building tool for corporations, Get Safe’s training includes a high degree of interaction that allows participants to engage in meaningful personal discussion and leaves employees feeling respected and cared for. Skill-building techniques hone “street smarts” and other positive, often instinctive behaviors.
The Secure Work Environment program is suited for both men and women. Rather than viewing workplace issues, such as sexual harassment and sexual assault as “women’s issues”, and anger management and conflict resolution as “men’s issues”, Get Safe offers both men and women a chance to see the causes and effects of violent behaviors. Topics in group training seminars include:
- Assertiveness and sensitivity among co-workers
- Social and travel safety – traveling in pairs and group, common tricks & lures, tactical communication, hotel & public transportation safety
- Teamwork & multi-person strategies in de-escalating potentially violent situations
- Personal vs. professional interaction
- Outreach, field work & on-site meetings – traveling in pairs, check-in/check-out procedures, maintaining safe distances

Employee Safety Manuals
Seminars and workshops can be an information overload. After attending an all-day seminar, it is possible that we will forget most of the important information we just heard. To complement any of our Corporate & Employee Safety programs, seminars, and workshops, Get Safe can provide the addition of an employee safety manual, specifically designed to fit your workplace needs.
Get Safe will review key findings and proposed protection plan, generated following the site inspection and threat assessment process with organization/location management. From this protection plan, Get Safe will partner with your agency in the production of an employee manual that includes safety information specific to your organization (and location, where necessary) and a full outline of topics and overview of safety strategies covered in the trainings.
The provision of safety manuals is an optional feature, offered only in conjunction with a Corporate & Employee Safety program.
