You hand her a business card, write down the principal’s number, thank her for her help, and get back in your patrol car. As you drive off, you tell yourself that you made the attempt and met the captain’s request.  

 

A few weeks go by, and you have never needed to go to the school. The dispatcher comes over the radio for a possible suicidal juvenile at the high school. You answer the call and realize that you have no idea where on campus the juvenile is. You try to call Harvey, but he isn’t answering the phone.
