These trainings are structured to promote safe, healthy workplaces in corporations,

organizations, companies, and agencies ranging from mid-to-large size. 

 

WORKPLACE SAFETY 

  • Practical strategies to assess/respond to workplace/personal threats 

  • Risk mitigation techniques through identification of body language, verbal communication flags, and communal support/safety 

  • Basic self-defense techniques (if desired by request)

CRISIS INTERVENTION

  • How to identify, understand, and interact with persons with disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance abuse 

  • Understanding behavioral cues and action 

  • Understanding and utilizing available resources 

DE-ESCALATION

  • Apply de-escalation techniques when working with diverse populations and challenging behaviors 

  • Creating more unity in the workplace 

  • Implement the Calm and Steady approach to reduce anxiety and tension 

 
 

DIVERSITY & IMPLICIT BIAS 

  • Asses the culturally diverse climate of the workplace to identify cultural layers that impact employee interactions, boundaries, and interpretations 

  • Apply strategies and perspectives to dispel common stereotypes and biases about certain populations to increase employee understanding and safety 

  • How increased cultural humility can impact workplace safety

PRIMARY TRAINING

WORKPLACE SAFETY, CRISIS INTERVENTION,

with a full department, company, or large team.

*Note: Multiple Trainings can be booked in the same training day.

ASSESSMENT

TRAINING TIME:

1 Hour

PARTICIPANTS:

5-16 Leadership

Previews the course as it will be presented to other staff, and allows for feedback and discussion with the Get Safe training team that can then be used to inform remaining course content and structure.

1 Hour

PARTICIPANTS:

Up to 16

Occurring 2-3 months following Primary Training to review successes/challenges that may have occurred since sessions, including primary concepts of SAFE and situational awareness, hosts areas for continued growth.

1-2 Hours

PARTICIPANTS:

Up to 16

 

Supplemental training to acknowledge, identify and respond to specific issues, concerns, topics that address a department/team through utilizing Trauma-Informed Practice & Assessment, role plays, and discussions.
